Q. What’s a defining moment in your life that shaped who you are today?

A. Joining a boarding school at the age of 9 was a pivotal moment for me. Being away from my family was challenging at first, but it taught me independence, resilience, and adaptability. That experience shaped my ability to embrace challenges, navigate life’s uncertainties, and grow stronger through them.

Q. What’s a tradition or habit you picked up from your family that you still follow?

A. Making Rangoli (an Indian floor art) as part of Diwali festival celebrations—I love doing it every year!

Q. If time and money weren’t a factor, what hobby or skill would you dive into?

A. I’d love to be a pilot and travel the world. During my college years, I received a scholarship to fly an aircraft and used to give demos of flying solo in a CESSNA 152A, which I absolutely loved. I even considered pursuing aviation as a career, but then computer science captured my interest and took me on a different journey.

Q. If you could instantly master any creative skill, what would it be?

A. I would love to master playing multiple musical instruments.

Q. What’s a quirky or unusual talent you have?

A. I learned a rare Indian folk dance that involves balancing a pot with fire on my head while standing on a dish or plate growing up, and I have also performed in some U.S./Canada multicultural festivals recently.

Q. What’s a small, everyday thing that brings you a lot of joy?

A. Playing and sharing laughter with my kids—their joy and energy make every day special. I am blessed with two amazing kids, 5 and 10 years old.

Q. What’s something about you that always surprises people when they find out?

People are often surprised to learn that growing up in India, I studied subjects like math, chemistry, and physics in my mother tongue, Hindi, until Grade 12 and didn’t learn or speak English until I started university.

Q. What’s a book, show, or movie that had a big impact on you?

The movie Hachi: A Dog’s Tale really moved me, especially knowing it’s based on a true story. Its powerful message of loyalty, love, and unwavering devotion made it a truly heartwarming and unforgettable film for me.

Q. If you had to watch only one movie or TV series for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A. I am a big fan of The Big Bang Theory 😃!

Q.If you could design your dream vacation, what would it include?

A. A vacation with a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure—something like a few days at an all-inclusive beach resort, soaking in the sun and ocean breeze, followed by scenic hikes surrounded by nature’s beauty (or vice versa).

Q. What’s one trip or experience you recommend to everyone you meet?

A. My first trip to Disney and Universal theme parks will always be memorable, and I highly recommend it to everyone, especially adults! 😊

Q. If you had to survive on only one type of cuisine forever, what would it be?

A. Of course, for me, nothing can beat Indian cuisine!

Q. What’s your role at Sunlight, and what’s your favorite part about it?

A. My favorite part of the role as Director of Project Delivery is the opportunity to tackle new challenges, implement new technology, and create meaningful improvements for our customers and business users. I also find great fulfillment in mentoring and collaborating with the next generation of talent, helping them grow and succeed.

Q. If you could give your younger self career advice, what would it be?

A. Focus on what you can control. Give your best effort, stay adaptable, and don’t waste energy stressing over things beyond your influence or control.

A. The opportunity to make a meaningful impact—whether by helping our customers, supporting Team Sunlight, or enhancing the productivity of my team collectively. I am driven by the ability to empower others, solve challenges, and contribute to a more efficient and successful environment every day.
